How to blur a particular area of your image

It is unavoidable that the image you want to make public online contains your privacy. When writing a guide about how to recover your RAR password through command lines, you take a screenshot of the CMD window. The screenshot shows your user name. You took a photo of your house and want to share the photograph on Instagram. The house number is beside the wood door in the photograph. You want to post a photo of a parcel on Facebook. Your phone number and address are printed on the parcel. You are writing a tutorial about how to mention a group member in WeChat. Taking a snapshot of the interface of the app ends up with displaying the usernames of group members. To hide your privacy, you can use image editors to blur a particular area of the image. There are too many photo editing apps on the market but not all of them can help you handle the task. To save your time finding the right app, I will introduce you to two apps with which you can quickly and easily get the job done in this article.

#1. Photo Stitcher

Add a mosaic effect to a particular part of an image using Photo Stitcher

Photo Stitcher aims to help you stitch photos to make a photo collage and combine images to make a long and scrolling screenshot. It also offers a series of editing tools to edit your stitched image.

After opening Photo Stitcher, you will be presented with a black window. The window mainly consists of two panels. What takes up most of the window is the preview panel. Here you can zoom and pan the image, make edits on it, and view any changes applied to it. The other panel is on the right side of the window. A collection of utilities are located in this panel for you to retouch the stitched image. You can add the spacings around the stitched image or the spacings between adjacent images. Besides, you can remove unwanted parts from the top, bottom, and side of the stitched image. In addition, you can draw free-hand lines, rectangles, and arrows to make annotations on the stitched image. Moreover, you can watermark your stitched image to protect your copyright. It is possible to add a single text watermark to the bottom of the stitched image or fill the stitched image with repeated text watermarks. Furthermore, you can use different types of mosaics to hide the sensitive information in your image. What's more, you can customize the colors of spacings, shape, and watermark by picking colors on the palettes.

All in all, Photo Stitcher is a lightweight app you can use to merge multiple images into one image. It gives you the ability to further touch up your image by using its additional tools. The interface of this app is very easy to navigate and its settings are intuitive. So, it can be easily mastered by both inexperienced users and professionals.
